Property Owned By

The owner of the house, Aguinaldo Severino Gamboa, is the son of Olimpia Severino.

Olimpia Severino was active in the revolution against the Spaniards in Silay City and sewed the Philippine Flag together with her sister and cousin. This flag was raised when the people of Silay City won against the Spaniards in a peaceful revolution. The eldest daughter of Aguinaldo is Doreen Gamboa Fernandez. She grew up in this home. Doreen Gamboa Fernandez was and still is (posthumously) revered by many food writers as she is probably the first one to write about Filipino food and is known also internationally for her expertise.
