Presently, this lovely state manor named as Casa A. Gamboa is a home that accept private bookings for small gatherings of 6 to 20 persons inside the house and can have larger gatherings in the garden (up to 200 persons), weather permitting. They accept bookings for breakfast, lunch, merienda/cocktails, or dinner, whichever is your preference. The garden is also a perfect venue for private parties or other special events. They have even seen a fair share of photo shoots as the house and garden provide a wonderfully unique location and backdrop.

OUR HISTORY
The house was built in 1939 and was lived in by a Japanese Colonel during World War II. When the Americans took over, the house was made headquarters of the fifth American Division and two Generals lived there. When General Rapp Brush lived in the house, General Douglas MacArthur came to visit and had a meeting with General Brush and had a simple ceremony in the garden as he was given a medal. General MacArthur (26 January 1880 – 5 April 1964) was an American military leader who served as General of the Army for the United States, as well as a field marshal to the Philippine Army. He was Chief of Staff of the United States Army during the 1930s, and he played a prominent role in the Pacific theater during World War II. MacArthur received the Medal of Honor for his service in the Philippines campaign.

THE ARCHITECTURAL DETAILS
This home can aptly be described as “influenced by the pre-war American Style Chalet” but still retains certain Castillian features such as the “ventanillas” that allow for free air circulation throughout the home. Typical of the period, the living quarters are all on the upper floor while the ground level was where they had the helpers’ quarters, storage rooms, the garage, and a rainwater cistern. Something worthy of note is this house has FORTY doors!
